AgriFoodTure is pleased to announce two calls for proposals, offering a total of 45 million DKK for new research and innovation projects that aim to accelerate the green transition within Denmark’s agricultural and food sectors.
The themes of the calls are “Social Solutions for Sustainable Agri-Food Systems” and “Cutting-edge Research and Innovation with High Potential for a Sustainable Agri-Food System.”
Companies, research institutions, public organizations, and civil society organizations both in Denmark and internationally, are invited to apply for funding. The grants range from 2 MDKK to 8 MDKK.
Aligned with the AgriFoodTure roadmap, projects should focus on advancing research and innovation, implementing solutions and products that contribute to achieving ambitious goals related to climate, environment, and biodiversity. Additionally, they must ensure that the agricultural and food sectors remain sustainable and competitive in the long term.

Call for Funding Proposals: Social Solutions for Sustainable Agri-Food Systems
Theme: Projects with a focus on social sciences and humanities (SSH) as a cross-cutting issue for accelerating implementation of climate solutions and transition to sustainable agri-food systems towards 2030 and 2050.
This call specifically invites proposals considering SSH perspectives on social processes and interactions connecting societies, ecosystems, and biophysical aspects within agri-food systems.
We invite ambitious, cross-cutting research and innovation projects that align with our mission to achieve the 2030 and 2050 goals for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions.
In recognition of the critical role that land users, businesses, policymakers, customers, users, citizens and consumers play in shaping and influencing both social and systems components of the agri-food sector, this call specifically calls for an SSH approach to accelerating the green transition in the Danish agri-food system.

Theme: Projects with a profound and potentially high impact, and where project partnerships challenge existing norms through introducing novel technologies, processes, or business models.
AgriFoodTure recognizes the need for cutting-edge research and innovation, signifying a paradigm shift towards groundbreaking transformations in the agri-food system. In this call, we invite ambitious research and innovation projects that align with our mission and roadmap.
Projects must have a renewed and strong focus on accelerating research and innovation and implementing solutions and products to achieve the ambitious mission goals regarding climate, environment and biodiversity, while also securing the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the agricultural and food sector.
