On April 24, AgriFoodTure invites partners to the annual General Assembly.
This year, you will be asked to make an important decision, as the key item on the agenda is a proposal from the board regarding a merger between AgriFoodTure and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark. Therefore, it is especially important that you participate in the General Assembly this year and make your voice heard.
The two boards strongly encourage members to vote in favor of the merger:
“A merger between the two organizations will strengthen innovation and cross-sector collaboration within the Danish food cluster, benefiting small, medium, and large companies alike – as well as Danish society as a whole. The ambition is to ensure that innovation within the cluster secures Denmark’s position at the global forefront in developing solutions to address climate, environmental, and biodiversity challenges” says Sandra Irene Jørgensen, Chair of the Board at Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, and Eskild Holm Nielsen, Vice Chair at AgriFoodTure.
The benefits of a merger for the current partners and members in AgriFoodTure and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark include, among others, having a single point of entry to innovation resources, sparring, and networking, as well as gaining access to a large number of collaboration partners within food and bioresources.
The General Assembly will take place from 10:00-10:45 on April 24. The agenda also includes the presentation and approval of the board’s report on the activities and the annual report, as well as the proposal for the allocation of results. All AgriFoodTure members are encouraged to attend.
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark’s General Assembly
If the merger is approved, and it is agreed to transfer AgriFoodTure’s activities and members to Food & Bio Cluster, AgriFoodTure members will be eligible to participate in and vote at Food & Bio Cluster Denmark’s General Assembly – given that Food & Bio Cluster also approves the merger at the beginning of their general assembly.
You are therefore encouraged to sign up to Food & Bio Cluster Denmark’s General Assembly as well, which will also be held in a hybrid format on the same day and at the same location, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

We are facing a unique opportunity to realize the potential of two organizations that share the same mission but operate in different ways. AgriFoodTure focuses specifically on targeted initiatives that can ensure future CO2 reductions in the agriculture and food industry, while Food & Bio Cluster Denmark covers the breadth of the sector through its many business members. By combining our strengths, we can accelerate the development of the entire industry, benefiting all parties involved.

Partnership equals strength, and a merger between two such strong organizations will benefit the entire industry. It will support the growth sector of SME’s, and it will benefit the larger
players, universities, and organizations to have direct access to the openness, innovation, and speed that thrive in the new companies. It is simply a smart move to combine forces and stand stronger as one team
