The merger between Food & Bio Cluster Denmark and AgriFoodTure has been completed, and the new organization is now ready to accelerate innovation across the entire value chain.
The new organization aims to strengthen collaboration, growth, and the green transition throughout the value chain – from startups to international companies and from research institutions to NGOs.
With a single, unified gateway to innovation resources, support programs, advisory services, and networks, it becomes easier for companies to engage in effective collaborations on the development of new technologies and products.
“I look forward to shaping the framework for our new, unified organization and setting the strategy that will guide the future of food and bioresource innovation in Denmark. We’re making it easier for companies to access funding, guidance, and networks through one consolidated entry point for support opportunities and strategic partnerships tailored to the needs of our members,” says Anette Engelund Friis, CEO of the new organization, which will soon unveil its name and visual identity.
The merger marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Danish food cluster, with clear ambitions: to be an international frontrunner in the development of sustainable solutions, health, and innovation within the food and bioresource sectors—addressing societal challenges in the green and sustainable transition.
Strong Board Leadership to Guide the New Organization
Appointed as Chair of the new organization is Peder Tuborgh, CEO of Arla Foods – one of Denmark’s most experienced and internationally recognized business leaders in the food sector. His appointment sends a strong signal about the high ambitions attached to this new initiative.
“By combining forces within bioresources and innovation, we are creating a strong innovation partner for the entire value chain, with a single access point to knowledge and resources. This strengthens Denmark’s leading position in sustainable food systems,” says Peder Tuborgh.
Together with a strong board representing industry, academia, and organizations, he will lead the way in setting the direction and ensuring that the organization becomes a unifying force in the green transition.
Over the coming months, the new organization will take shape and develop a strategy for innovation and sustainable growth – from research to business.
