With the approval of the merger between AgriFoodTure and the cluster organization Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, a new and powerful innovation player is now set to take shape and leave its mark on the future of food and the efficient and sustainable use of our bioresources.
The initiation of the merger was officially approved at an Extraordinary General Assembly of Food & Bio Cluster Denmark on June 2, 2025, following prior approval by the boards of AgriFoodTure and FBCD A/S. On June 10, the board of the newly formed organization will constitute itself and begin the work of creating a strong, unified innovation entity for the entire value chain.
“I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and, together with the organization and the board, establishing the framework for our new, unified organization. The field of food and bioresources holds so many opportunities that it can be difficult to navigate where to find the most advantageous funding, sparring, and network-building options. Our focus will be to simplify access to all these opportunities through a unified strategy based on the strengths and needs of our members — setting the direction for the future of food and bioresource innovation,” says Anette Engelund Friis, CEO of the new organization, the name of which will be announced shortly.
